Service Requirements
<ul style="direction: ltr;"><li>The user must be a Saudi national or a resident with a valid ID.</li><li>The user must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li>The user must be of full legal capacity.</li><li>The user must have an active Absher account.</li><li>The user must not be completely prohibited from granting power of attorney, or be a minor under a guardianship certificate.</li><li>The number of principals must not be fewer than 2, nor more than 50.</li><li>The authentication of all principals, whether by acceptance or rejection, to issue the power of attorney within 48 hours from the time of submission.</li></ul>
Should Know
<ul><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">The validity of the electronic power of attorney is limited to one year.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">Issuing a multi-principal electronic power of attorney does not require an in-person notary visit.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">The document is fully digital, eliminating the need for printing, stamping, or physical signatures.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">Users may replicate a prior power of attorney to streamline the application process.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">The application process takes up to 48 hours; issuance occurs immediately upon all principals’ approvals within that timeframe.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">If the 48-hour window lapses, the system issues the power of attorney only to principals who authenticated acceptance, excluding others.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">A principal’s rejection or failure to authenticate acceptance or rejection results in their exclusion from the finalized power of attorney.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">The system automatically excludes any principal failing to meet the criteria, such as due to death, expired identification, or legal incapacity.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">All principals can monitor the application’s progress and authentication status.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">The Najiz platform offers this service in the capacity of "on behalf of oneself."</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">Any principal or agent may partially revoke the power of attorney electronically through the Najiz platform or app.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">The power of attorney is automatically terminated upon a party’s death, via integration with Ministry of Interior data.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">Saudi principals must appoint Saudi agents; resident principals may appoint either Saudi nationals or residents.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">The electronic power of attorney’s validity can be confirmed using available verification services.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">For "claims and courts" authorization, the agent must be a licensed lawyer or a relative within the fourth degree of kinship.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">Principals over 65 issuing their first power of attorney must use the Virtual Notarial Office on Najiz or a private notary; subsequent issuances may be completed electronically via Najiz.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">Use the "Favorites List" feature to add previously saved parties for easier selection.</li><li style="direction: ltr; text-align: left;">Use the "Reissue Power of Attorney" feature to reissue an invalid power of attorney with simplified steps.</li></ul>
